The City of Kenmore is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced individual to lead a records management and archiving project during 2020.

The incumbent will work with all departments, under the direction of the City Clerk, to identify records for archiving, temporary storage and destruction in accordance with the Washington State Archives rules of retention; also working in collaboration with department staff to develop ongoing processes, timelines and best practices for municipalities in maintaining a solid records management program.

This position is temporary and salary is dependent on qualifications.  Schedule is flexible.  Due to the temporary nature of the project, a benefit package is not available.




Municipal experience directly related to records management, in a position such as City Clerk or Records Specialist, is highly desired.

Knowledge of Washington State Archive Local Government Records Retention Rules is required.
