Summary

The City of Bellevue, WA is currently accepting applications for a full-time, 9 month temporary IT Application Systems Analyst II to work with our Technology Business Systems Team in the Information Technology Department.  The successful candidate will provide technical expertise and capacity to the SharePoint team. This team is tasked with the implementation of SharePoint 2010 which includes migration from our existing SharePoint 2007 environment. Document management is a significant component of our implementation.
 

The successful candidate will be part of the SharePoint team consisting of internal IT resources and users and external consultants. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and flexibility are critical.



Essential Job Functions

  • Under the direction of the SharePoint Technical Lead, executes technical tasks in SharePoint.
  • Uses SharePoint migration tool to migrate SharePoint sites and documents.
  • Directs interaction with end users while mapping and migrating their data.
  • Creates a test plan.
  • Develops and executes test scripts.
  • Conducts and facilitates user acceptance testing.  

 

Qualifications
Required  

  • Intermediate T-SQL knowledge & experience.
  • SharePoint 2007 or 2010 knowledge and experience.
  • System and Acceptance Testing experience including creation of test plans.
  • Intellectual Horsepower – Deals with concepts and complexity comfortably; is intellectually sharp, capable and agile.
  • Learning on the fly- Learns quickly when facing new problems, open to change, analyzes both successes and failures for clues to improvement, enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks, quickly grasps the essence and the underlying structure of anything.
  • Customer Focus – Acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.

Desired

  • SharePoint Administrator experience.
  • Able to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel, either verbally and/or in writing.

Definition of a Temporary

  • Hired on the City’s payroll for up to 9 months working full-time or part-time. 
  • Cannot work for more than 9 months in the previous 12 months, whether in the same position or a series of consecutive positions. 
  • Cannot work simultaneously as a temporary employee and a temporary agency worker. 
  • A temporary employee who has worked the 9 month maximum in the previous 12 months must have at least a 3-month break in service before being re-employed by the City in another temporary status. 
  • At-will for the duration of the temporary status, except as indicated by union contract. 
  • Employment eligibility of a new hire into a temporary status must be verified. 
  • Temporary workers will be placed in non-regular positions, and shall receive no other compensation or benefits than the designated base hourly rate for hours of actual work performed except as specifically authorized by ordinance.
