Perform general labor tasks and operate equipment as assigned for maintenance and/or development of the City's parks. All assignments perform manual labor tasks using hand and power tools. Positions may maintain park facilities and public grounds, prepare and groom ball fields, empty garbage, mow and trim grass and/or clean the City’s swimming pool.
Only candidates whose skills most closely match position requirements will be contacted. This is a limited duration employment and is anticipated to start immediately and conclude within 6 months.
Hours of Work
40 hours/week. Work shifts will vary and include nights and weekends.
Must be able to operate basic hand and power tools and equipment, drive a pickup, maintain a valid Washington State Drivers License, and function effectively as a team player. These positions require successful completion of a thorough background check as required by the Child/Adult Abuse Information Act.
Previous municipal experience in Parks maintenance or landscape maintenance preferred.
Working Conditions & Physical Activities
Must be able to work outdoors in inclements weather; lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds; climb into and out of trenches and climb ladders.
