Deputy Fire Chief - City of Redmond ( Job # 13-0044)
Minimum Salary: $8,973.00 per month
Maximum Salary: $11,075.00 per month

The Deputy Chief is a member of the Senior Fire Department Staff and works with all levels of the organization, including the Mayor, Fire District, and City Council.
Under the direction of the Fire Chief, this position may be responsible for fire prevention, community outreach, emergency management, public education, fleet services, building maintenance, capital improvements, budgeting, labor/management relations, medical services and operations. Responsibility may change at the discretion of the Fire Chief.
The Deputy Chief assumes incident command at emergency incidents where necessary.

Requires a minimum of three (3) years administrative/operations experience at the company officer level or higher.
Requires completion of 90 quarter/60 semester hours from an accredited college or university. Applicants must ensure that official college transcripts are included with application or ensure transcripts are in personnel file.
License and Requirements:
Valid driver’s license with certification of Emergency Vehicle Accident Program (EVAP).
Work is primarily performed in an office environment and at emergency scenes in the community. Physical hazard from smoke fumes and inhalation, burning objects and obstacles may be present at a fire scene. Attendance at evening meetings may be required.
