Summary

Position collects fees, maintains records, sets up and takes down equipment, tables, and chairs. Responsible for opening and closing facilities and supervising customers during weekdays, weeknights, and/or weekends. Responsible for providing outstanding customer service to patrons in all environments.

Athletics – Work takes place in various City of Kirkland Parks, and/or Lake Washington School District facilities. Acts as on-site City representative for adult sports leagues such as adult volleyball, basketball, dodgeball, and softball. Sets up and takes down sports equipment, and supervises adult sports participants.

Current opening is for three nights per week working with our volleyball and dodgeball program.


Hours of Work

The current opening is for three nights per week, typically during weeknights (5pm – 10pm) and/or weekends (Sat/Sun) between 8am – 9pm. Attendants may be offered work at any City of Kirkland or Lake Washington School District facility, and may be placed on a backup roster.

Minimum Qualifications

Six months of prior experience with public contact and/or customer service required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have or be able to obtain first aid/CPR certification by start date. Must successfully complete a thorough background check as required by the Child/Adult Abuse Information Act. Must have ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a sports setting.

Work Conditions & Physical Activities

Work is performed in varied locations within Lake Washington School District and City of Kirkland facilities with high levels of noise and seasonal temperature extremes. Must be able to walk, climb, bend, and stoop to complete tasks.
