The Human Resources Analyst performs a variety of routine and complex technical and professional work in analyzing and administering functional areas of the City's Human Resources policies and programs. Functional areas include the following: recruitment, employee relations, benefits, compensation, position classification, labor relations, training, and performance management. The functional assignment area of this position is solely dedicated to benefits.
Hours of Work
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday

Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration with emphasis on Human Resources or related discipline, plus four years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
A proficiency in Microsoft office products particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Two to three years of benefit administration and compliance experience or work as a benefit consultant. Ability to analyze and report out on complex data. Maintain a PHR or CEBS certification.
Working Conditions & Physical Activities
Work is performed in a typical office environment. Incumbent is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time while performing keyboard functions. Position periodically requires attendance at evening meetings.
