Summary

Incumbents perform a wide variety of clerical duties for the Planning and Building Department such as reviewing and tabulating reports, preparing and tracking documents, word processing, updating webpages, filing, data entry, making copies, and other clerical tasks that support the department's administrative division.


Hours of Work

This is an on-call position with a work schedule between 12 and 20 hours per week. Schedule will vary within the regular business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm M-F.

Minimum Qualifications

High school graduate or GED. Intermediate computer experience. Two years of increasingly responsible administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides knowledge, skills and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Must be proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet and database software programs and personal computers.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Working Conditions & Physical Activities

Work is generally performed in an office setting. Must be able to sit at a desk and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
