Summary

This position will focus on web and multimedia design, and will help create well-designed communications and outreach materials for web, print, television, and other communication tools. The position requires excellent customer service while working with clients and vendors that are internal and external to the City organization. The successful applicant will produce quality digital material for a variety of clients and venues. Most work is completed using Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Acrobat products, and use of SharePoint Online and Office 365.  For example, one project that may use this resource soon will be to help implement SharePoint Online.


Minimum Qualifications

An Associates degree in Graphic Design and /or a related or field, or four years experience working in graphic design or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Working knowledge of a variety of software packages i.e. graphic design, web production, motion graphics and Microsoft products. A degree in web, multimedia design is highly desired. 

Hours of Work

Work hours to be mutually agreed upon after acceptance of position, and will primarily be on-call.

Working Conditions & Physical Activities

Duties are performed primarily in an office environment but may require lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, using small hand tools. Work is performed in a typical open concept office environment with ergonomically positioned work stations. The Graphic Designer uses a PC Windows computer system which is on a network. Position requires sitting for some times up to two hours or more.
