Youth Athletic Official - City of Kirkland ( Job # 18-0002)

Officiate peewee soccer, basketball, and multi-sport for ages 3-6. Set up and break down equipment prior to and following games; maintain a clean, safe and orderly facility. Training provided. 

Paid training will be provided prior to the start of each season.

Special Note

Candidates are encouraged to apply ASAP.  While final selection will not occur until after closing, screening and interviewing may commence prior to the closing date.

Hours of Work

Position runs April-June and September-October; Saturdays 8:30am-2:30pm for 7 consecutive weeks.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be age 16 or older.  Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification by start date.  Applicants who are offered a position must successfully complete a thorough background check as required by the Child/Adult Abuse Information Act.

Preferred Qualifications

One year officiating experience is preferred.

Working Conditions & Physical Activities

Gymnasium (indoor) work and Soccer Field (outdoor) which requires ability to run and keep alert in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Applicants who are invited to participate in the interview process will be notified by phone or email. Applicants who submit certification documentation with the City Application will receive first consideration.

Candidates who are selected to interview will be required to complete a Criminal History Release Form and a RCW Supplemental Questionnaire.
