Youth Hip Hop Dance Instructor - City of Kirkland ( Job # 19-0019)

Summary
Plan and teach youth Hip Hop classes for 5-11 year olds at the North Kirkland Community Center. Instructor must possess dance knowledge, creativity, flexibility, and be able to provide a safe and stimulating class environment with age-appropriate dance activities. Instructor must enjoy working with children, and be able to communicate effectively with parents.

Hours of Work
Hours may vary. Classes will be held on Thursday afternoon/evenings.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Must have six (6) months of related teaching experience.
2. Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification by start date.
3. Must successfully complete a thorough background check as required by the Child/Adult Abuse Information Act.
4. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Working Conditions & Physical Activities
Work is performed in a community center setting, with high levels of noise and seasonal temperature extremes. Must have ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. Must be able to walk, climb, bend, and stoop to complete tasks.
