Summary

Bellevue Utilities has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, creative and highly-motivated team player to oversee and forward several of its award-winning environmental outreach programs. As Conservation and Outreach Program Administrator, you will develop and coordinate public outreach, education and technical assistance programs for waste prevention, recycling, small quantity and household hazardous waste management, and some pollution prevention. You will oversee program communications for a wide variety of audiences, applying a social marketing lens and creative instincts to build effective multimedia campaigns. Other central duties include fostering community, local, and regional partnerships; helping to develop, track, and evaluate program goals and performance measures; administering solid waste and recycling grants and vendor contracts; and ensuring regulatory program requirements are met.

This role is ideal for someone excited to work directly with community members, including single-family households, multifamily households, commercial customers, and schools, to make an impact on environmental issues. We'll be looking for your solid experience and fresh ideas for how to strengthen these key programs and promote further participation with Bellevue's diverse audiences.

At the City of Bellevue, you'll be part of a team committed to providing exceptional customer service, upholding the public interest and being a part of the community vision. Our people bring unique skills and qualities to the table, embrace the values of honesty, accountability and commitment to service, and take pride in the work they do. You'll work in an environment where being innovative, collaborative, and future focused are the status quo. Bellevue welcomes the world. Our diversity is our strength. It's what makes The City of Bellevue an exciting place to work, live, and explore.
