Preschool "Kids in Motion" Instructor - City of Kirkland ( Job # 19-0131)

Minimum Salary: $12.00 per hour
Maximum Salary: $16.00 per hour

Summary

Plan and teach movement and motion classes for Parent and Child and children only ages 1-4 at the North Kirkland Community Center. Maintain a safe and stimulating class environment with age-appropriate group activities and games. Guide and assist students through group games and individual movement activities with emphasis on developing large muscle motor skills, hand eye coordination, self-esteem, confidence, and social skills.

Hours of Work

Hours may vary, for winter and spring quarters Saturday mornings are necessary. Program and training begins in December.

Minimum Qualifications
  1. Must have six months of experience working with preschool/youth.
  2. Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification by start date. 
  3. Must successfully complete a thorough background check as required by the Child/Adult Abuse Information Act.
  4. Must be age 18 or older.
Working Conditions & Physical Activities

Work is performed in a community center setting, with high levels of noise and physical activities. Must have ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. Must be able to walk, climb, bend, and stoop to complete tasks.
